Take ownership of linguistic quality for a major global technology client, ensuring consistent, accurate, and culturally appropriate content across multiple digital channels. As the English to Bosnian (Cyrillic) Review Lead, you will serve as the primary linguistic expert for your locale, translating client expectations into clear quality standards for reviewers and post-editors. You will work closely with client stakeholders to resolve linguistic questions, manage escalations, and improve localization outcomes. Through coaching, calibration sessions, and data-driven quality analysis, you will strengthen the consistency of UI, marketing, product, informational, legal, and support content. This freelance opportunity offers approximately 24 hours of work per month, with remote flexibility and collaboration across international teams. You will contribute to high-visibility technology projects while building a long-term professional partnership.
Accountabilities
As the English to Bosnian (Cyrillic) Review Lead, you will oversee linguistic quality, guide the reviewer community, and maintain alignment between client expectations and localization practices. You will be accountable for quality performance, effective arbitration, and continuous improvement across the assigned locale. Your main responsibilities will include:
Analyse style guides, glossary updates, and client requirements to identify their impact on quality categories and content types, documenting changes and communicating expectations clearly.
Track client feedback, corrections, and decisions made during calibration and quality discussions to capture both documented standards and implicit expectations.
Serve as the primary linguistic point of contact for the client's Language Manager, handling clarifications, quality discussions, escalations, and arbitration.
Organise regular alignment roundtables with reviewers and post-editors to establish a consistent understanding of linguistic quality standards.
Prepare structured monthly quality reports covering performance, priority improvement areas, style guide updates, recurring errors, and arbitration outcomes.
Coach reviewers individually using concrete examples, conduct shadowing sessions, and deliver targeted training based on real quality and alignment data.
Monitor the locale's review service score, including RQE audit results and alignment performance, identifying trends and opportunities for improvement.
Maintain accurate, evidence-based arbitration records and ensure that every issue escalated to the client is valid, well-supported, and aligned with established procedures.
Identify recurring error patterns and justification trends, translating findings into well-reasoned proposals for style guide improvements.
Share cross-locale quality insights with the Quality Manager to support broader quality governance and continuous improvement.
Build a strong working relationship with the client’s Language Manager, ensuring that decisions are implemented consistently and expectations are increasingly aligned.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is an experienced localization quality professional with strong linguistic expertise in Bosnian (Cyrillic), proven stakeholder management skills, and a data-driven approach to quality governance. You should be comfortable making informed linguistic decisions, facilitating discussions, coaching reviewers, and resolving complex quality issues in a technology-focused environment. The following qualifications and skills are required:
At least 3–5 years of experience in Localization Quality Assurance (LQA), senior language leadership, or quality governance roles.
Native-level proficiency in Bosnian (Cyrillic) and professional-level English.
Direct experience serving as the primary point of contact for client Language Managers or equivalent stakeholders.
Proven experience managing formal arbitration and escalation processes, including evidence-based decision-making and conflict resolution.
Strong practical knowledge of localization quality evaluation frameworks, including RQE, LQE, error rubrics, and severity mapping.
Ability to analyse style guide changes, identify implicit client expectations, and apply appropriate quality tolerances across different content types, including marketing, legal, and UI content.
Hands-on experience facilitating one-to-one coaching, shadowing sessions, alignment meetings, and structured monthly quality reporting.
Strong analytical skills, including the ability to track error concentrations, severity trends, and alignment scores.
Ability to convert recurring linguistic issues and reviewer justifications into actionable recommendations for improving style guides and quality standards.
Excellent communication, organisation, and stakeholder management skills.
Experience supporting major technology localization programmes and using calibration or alignment tools is an advantage.
Willingness to complete a background check as part of the onboarding process.
Must be physically located in an approved country, including India, for the duration of the engagement.
Benefits
