Role Description This is a full-time remote Founder's Office – Fullstack AI/ML Developer Intern role. The intern will work closely with the founding team to design, develop, and deploy end-to-end AI-driven features, from data pipelines and model training to backend APIs and lightweight front-end integrations. Day-to-day responsibilities may include experimenting with ML models, integrating them into production systems, writing clean and maintainable code, and contributing to architectural decisions for scalable AI products. The role also involves collaborating on product roadmaps, participating in technical problem-solving, and iterating quickly based on user feedback from manufacturing clients. As part of the Founder's Office, the intern will gain exposure to strategic decision-making, cross-functional coordination, and startup operations. Qualifications Strong programming fundamentals in languages commonly used for AI/ML and backend development (e.g., Python, JavaScript/TypeScript). Foundational knowledge of machine learning concepts, model training workflows, and experience with popular ML libraries or frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn). Experience or interest in fullstack development, including building RESTful APIs, working with databases, and basic front-end development using modern frameworks. Comfort with software engineering best practices such as version control (Git), testing, debugging, and writing clean, well-documented code. Ability to research and prototype AI-driven solutions, experiment with new tools, and rapidly iterate in a startup environment. Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a willingness to take ownership of tasks in a remote, fast-paced setting. Good written and verbal communication skills for effective collaboration with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Interest in industrial AI, manufacturing, and building products with real-world operational impact is highly beneficial.
