Primary Responsibilities Design, develop, test, and deploy enterprise-grade applications using Java and Spring Boot Build and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices-based solutions Develop cloud-native solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure services Integrate Generative AI, LLMs, AI services, or intelligent automation capabilities into business applications Design and optimise database solutions using Microsoft SQL Server Collaborate with product owners, architects, business analysts, and DevOps teams to deliver high-quality software Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards, security, and best practices Troubleshoot production issues and implement performance improvements Support CI/CD pipelines and release management activities Create technical documentation and contribute to architectural discussions AI User and capable of using AI tools Comply with all applicable Company policies, procedures, and business directives, changes including those relating to work location, team assignments, work schedules, and flexible work arrangements Required Qualifications Graduate or Postgraduate in Computer Science/Engineering/Science or related field 5+ years of professional experience in software engineering and enterprise application development using Java and Spring Boot 3+ years of experience designing, building, and deploying cloud-native applications on Microsoft Azure 3+ years of experience working with MS SQL Server, including schema design, performance tuning, and query optimization 3+ years of experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and microservices architectures 3+ years of experience using version control tools (e.g., Git) and automated CI/CD pipelines Preferred Qualifications Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate or relevant cloud architecture certification Experience integrating AI-powered application components, machine learning API services, or cognitive tools Experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes) Knowledge of modern front-end frameworks (e.g., React, Angular) At UnitedHealth Group, our mission is to help people live healthier lives and make the health system work better for everyone.
